Every year on the Stephanie Belton Photography Training Facebook group we run a fun 30 day challenge throughout September to push our creativity and try new things. Having a set theme and a deadline each day is a fantastic way to get into “photographer mode” and look at the world around us through creative eyes.
There are no pre-requisites to take part in the challenge, all levels of ability and equipment are welcome. For some of us it was the opportunity to experiment with the self timer, double exposure in camera, flash photography, new apps to enhance phone camera images, this was really the time to play around, share the results and take a look at everyone else’s take on the theme.
We started the challenge with around 90 participants but keeping the pace going for a whole 30 days is tough, that’s why I was so impressed to see that a good core of around 30 kept going all the way until the end, what an achievement! I really believe that what kept everyone going is all the encouragement given and received by the participants, it’s so nice to do all this together and as we reached day 30+1 I already miss the buzz of the challenge.
There were some fantastic images posted by the participants which they have allowed me to share here, here is a small selection, with well over a thousand images posted in total, everyone who took part should be very proud.
